The G&L Tribute Series
G&L Tribute Series sets a dramatic new standard by bringing unique G&L features and standardized CNC quality together in a surprisingly affordable line of guitars and basses. With genuine original equipment G&L pickups and bridges supplied by the Fender Avenue factory, Tribute Series instruments are equipped with unmistakable tone, sustain and playability that surpasses more expensive instruments.

With unbeatable value and performance in a high quality instrument, once you play a G&L Tribute Series, you'll never look back.

Swamp Ash Body With Maple Neck
The L-2000 features a beautiful and lightweight swamp ash body, with wide grains shown off by the natural finish.

The neck is maple, with a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The double-cutaway body design ensures access to those higher frets.

G&L Magnetic Field Design (MFD) Humbucking Pickups
These pickups use a ceramic bar magnet installed underneath each coil, with soft iron adjustable pole pieces to transfer the magnetic field to the top of the pickup. By contrast, traditional Alnico type pickups use non-adjustable Alnico pole pieces, leaving the only adjustment being pickup height. The Magnetic Field Design has this adjustment, but further offers individual adjustment of each pole piece, letting the player effectively adjust the output of each string on each pickup. The Magnetic Field Design yields about twice the output per wind, making the pickup quieter while allowing a greater overall output. The sound of Magnetic Field pickups is slightly warm with a broad frequency response.

Tri-Tone Electronics System
G&L's patented Tri-Tone active/passive electronics system includes a single Volume Control combined with separate Treble and Bass Controls and a three-position Pickup Selector Switch. In addition, a two-way Mini Toggle provides Series/Parallel switching, and a three-way Mini Toggle allows for preamp settings of OFF/ON/ON, with Treble Boost.

G&L Saddle-Lock Bridge
This bridge features a small Allen screw on the side of the bridge, which presses all the saddles together so they resonate as though they were one single mass. This eliminates the loss of string vibration energy caused by side-to-side saddle movement inherent in other designs. Furthermore, the strings no longer need to be routed though the rear of the body for optimal sustain.

The bottom side of the bridge has a large protrusion which fits into a route in the body. The protrusion fits snugly against the end grain of the body wood, allowing the highly resonant bridge to transfer much more of the string vibration energy directly to the core of the body, yielding much greater sustain than earlier fixed bridge designs.
